The targeted intake of essential amino acids, especially BCAA and leucine, weakens this process and shortens the catabolic phase. For longer activities in cycling, triathlon or trail running, we recommend taking one ampoule of Amino 12500 or Amino EAA Tabs every two to three hours. This stabilises the protein and amino acid balance and protects the muscles from breakdown – especially in the event of an energy deficit, when the body uses muscle mass for energy. In addition, it is recommended to consume another ampoule of Amino 12500 immediately after intensive training sessions. The BCAA, L-arginine and L-ornithine contained in the product have an anti-catabolic effect, i.e. they inhibit muscle breakdown.
