Which nutrients for the best regeneration and fast recovery?

Protein supports the maintenance and recovery of the muscles. Essential amino acids, as well as zinc and magnesium, and numerous vitamins such as vitamin B1, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 help athletes (endurance athletes, strength athletes and many athletes from other disciplines) to regenerate more quickly and cope with physical exertion faster. High-quality recovery drinks with protein and carbohydrates are therefore ideal for replenishing glycogen stores after exercise and helping muscle function with sports nutrition. For shorter, energetically less demanding but muscularly strenuous workouts or during calorie-reduced phases, it can be useful to reduce the carbohydrate content somewhat. Pure protein products can then be used alike. Endurance athletes in particular often underestimate their protein requirements and associate protein supplementation with muscle growth and strength training yet forget its importance for muscle maintenance.

RECOVERY DRINK from SPONSER is a tasty carbohydrate-protein recovery drink. It contains short and long-chain carbohydrates, which optimally replenish your energy stores after exercise. The protein content is based on whey protein and casein, which support muscle recovery. RECOVERY DRINK is available in a practical 60 g sachet that fits in any sports bag. To prepare the shake, stir the powder in Strawberry-Banana flavour into 300-500 ml of water or prepare in a shaker. In addition to RECOVERY DRINK, our RECOVERY SHAKE and PRO RECOVERY are also suitable for recovery or muscle building. The shakes differ primarily in their carbohydrate and protein content and therefore their functionality.

FAQs about our recovery drinks

RECOVERY DRINK is intended for the initial replenishment of energy stores at the competition or training venue. For optimum recovery efficacy, we recommend taking it directly after exercise. For a higher protein content, it can easily be combined with AMINO 12500.
RECOVERY DRINK made from whey protein isolate (cross-flow microfiltration) provides concentrated, natural protein with a BCAA content of 25% (2.9 g BCAA per serving). It is also enriched with the free amino acids L-leucine and glutamine as well as vitamins and minerals. The electrolytes magnesium and calcium contribute to normal muscle function. Without artificial sweeteners. Lactose-free, gluten-free.
Vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin C, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, niacin, vitamin B6, folic acid, vitamin B12, biotin and pantothenic acid. It also contains the amino acids glutamine and BCAA (L-leucine, L-isoleucine, L-valine).
The RECOVERY SHAKE is more satiating and, for many, tastier due to its preparation with milk, but also provides significantly more carbohydrates, which is ideal for classic muscle and energy regeneration. Including milk, it provides approx. 20-25 g of protein per prepared portion.
PRO RECOVERY also provides approx. 20-25 g of protein per prepared portion, but in contrast to RECOVERY SHAKE it contains significantly fewer carbohydrates. PRO RECOVERY is more focussed on professional and ambitious athletes. It consists of a broad protein mix with quickly and slowly available protein sources including colostrum and offers greater convenience (lower drinking volume, preparation with water).
In principle, another preparation, for example with water and skimmed milk powder or enriched with fruit juice, is not inconceivable. However, it should be noted that any deviation in the preparation changes the taste experience as well as the nutritional content so that the contents per portion stated on the pack no longer correspond.
